I just installed a 8800 GTS card and my electrohome 9500lc will only display picture is safe mode. I am running a cable with DVI on one end (8800 card) and an HDMI connection on the other (Moome HDMI card for the 9500). The safe mode resolution is 800x600. I am running VISTA operating system. VISTA is recognizing the monitor as generic "plug and play". Help!!

Good luck with Vista. Try installing a monitor inf profile like the SONY GDMF-W900. I'm not sure it will help you but Winblows may start to see other available resolutions with a profile installed.
