I got my EXT-HD today. I connected my cables, 1 HDMI from my HR20, and a component cable from my Sony HD300. I selected the H1 via the front panel button, switched my HR20 to output 720p since that i was my pj is set for. The pix looked ok, a bit dim--iow the whites were not white. I got a pair of new AAA and installed them in the remote. i clicked power, and the EXT-HD shut off.

Now i can't get it come back on. i have my digital voltmeter hooked up to the wall wart (ww) and the DC volts is jumping around from less than 4v to a bit over 5. Never close to 9 volts. this is with no load.

When i plug the ww into the Ext-HD, the control panel lights sometimes blink with H1 displayed, sometimes very dim but i can see "17" displayed. The LEDs are on about 2 seconds and then go off.

Has anyone else noticed this? I guess my concern is---did the box cause the ww to go bad, or is it just a bad ww?

I'll try and email moome and ask for a replacement ww.

Another question?? are the Sel & Power buttons Push Button or slide. Mine are very loose and wobbly. They could be either!

bummer!!
tia, ron
