Just wondering here since Moome is a mod on this forum why he wouldn't provide the same information about whats happening with his product on this forum as he has on his recently updated website and over on AVS?
His own website says he is testing the cards right now and will start shipping the basic version shortly and and AVS he told a customer there that he will ship in about about a week(and that was several days ago)
I pretty sure he hasn't visited this site since last week.(last post was July 10)
Any hints Kal? You've done a bang up job on info, specs and pictures....lets get this thread updated.

Jamie, you have to be patient with Moome. His products are fantastic but his communication isn't. In the end his products always do what he says they will and he fixes problems people have, but communication is slow/spotty at best.

I'm trying to bridge the gap here and provide all information that's out there in 100's of threads into one simplified FAQ and ordering process, but the brutally honest truth is: If you expect someone to answer all your questions in a timely manner and provide 'hand-holding' support then Moome products are simply not for you and I suggest you look elsewhere. Simple as that.

What exactly did you want to know?

Kal
I'm very familiar with how Moome operates as i'm a past customer on several items. Since i had a question concerning my deposit and payment i asumed it was best to ask the person i gave my money to. I even tried the email address on this site(moome@curtpalme) but it bounces back to me from your hotmail address.
I don't need my hand held thankyou. Just frustrated with the lack of customer service from someone who i would say has at least 40k US from this one product alone(and thumbs up to Moome as i know he's earned it)
I apologize if i seem impatient...just ask my wife....i keep telling her to be patient with these damn household chores around here.

You've got the right email: moome@curtpalme.com just gets forwarded to his 'regular' email (and to me too so I can follow what's going on from a sales/marketing perspective).

So Moome's still getting the email. It's just my hotmail that's bouncing back for some reason.

So all you can do is keep emailing him. He says he's super busy with 3 different products coming out now (VIM-HD, IFB-HD, EXT-HD) so replies will be sporatic.

Understood that you may not need hand-holding - my comment was a general one as to how Moome operates.

FYI: Moome's making very little profit on this stuff - most goes to building the cards. Most of that 40K (or whatever it is) has been paid to the factories and people making the boards.

Being impatient and buying from Moome unfortunately don't go together. Smile

That's a good idea Moome. Simplifying product lines solves a LOT of headaches.

Thanks Moome! My Deluxe setup is up and running. Picture in digital mode is definite better then RGBHV via component conversion and external doubler. Just wish I can control the input selection from my Directtv remote or the remote from your board. ( Maybe just a short term requirement until all equipment are upgraded to digital.)

Thanks Again.

Kal - I paid for 2 of these cards 2 weeks ago. Are you able to track the status of my order? Is it in transit?

Hi Gino - I'm afraid not. All I see is the order go through to Moome. I have no idea when he ships and I don't have access to the tracking #.

Excellent Gino! That was actually pretty fast I think! (About 2 weeks since you ordered?)

Update: The Moome VIM-HD Marquee cards are now sold out.

Moome's keeping a few around in case repair/exchanges are need. If after a few weeks everyone's happy then he may sell off these ones too (less than 5).

Add this to the FAQ:

How do I adjust gamma on this card?
See this Gamma Tuning Guide for Moome products

Well, enough people seem to still want this card, so a new batch of 60 VIM-HD High End model cards has been ordered from the factory. Price is the same as before. Order today and it will ship to you in mid to late October. Note: Basic and Advanced models are no longer offered in order to speed up order processing as most previous sales were for the high end model.

Click here to place your order.

For everyone that ordered before September 2007 and hasn't received their card yet, it should be on its way to you now!

Update: Moome has now received the second batch of VIM-HD card and they are being tested. They will start shipping out soon to customers in the order that the orders were received.

Update: Moome sent me an email that the VIM-HD cards will start shipping out tomorrow (Nov 5th) and he should complete sending out all orders within 2 weeks.

There's cards left in this batch so ordering today will result in the card shipping out to you within 2 weeks.

I, too, got an email from Moome (because I asked) and he said he will start shipping on the 5th; just wonder why it takes him TWO-WEEK to send all the orders out; waiting for boxes for the cards to be delivered? It would be very nice to have it by the end of this week for the long holiday weekend of watching HD movies.

Probably because he tests every board before he sends it out. In his copious free time. This isn't his day job, after all.
