I'd say the more the better. At least do the screen wall and possibly the celing. Even if it's only the first 10 feet.

You can do other dark colors on adjacent walls too.

Check out some of the other members theaters here:

The fool that follows is far more foolish.

The fool has an excuse... and is justified by his followers...

Nah. That's just dust in the air, lit up by the flash.

I also built a black carpeted stage to get black on the ground out 4 feet.

Please tell me that is not the permanent position of the PJ! You should ceiling mount it and move all your seats up 2 feet.

Looks great! I enjoy watching members HT's come together in time lapse. LET THE TWEEKING BEGIN! Laughing
(I agree with ceiling mounting. Mine was on the floor for a year...now that it's up there I can't believe I ever left it floor mounted for as long as I did).
Everybody's HT seems to come with at least one chair with a wee one in it. The wife and I must have bought ours at the wrong place. Laughing

Thumbs Up on your efforts!

Greg

I wanted to go with the ceiling mount, but the wife had concerns (crushing our daughter if it fell.....I know, you know, we all know it wouldn't fall) The only concern I had was the upstairs hallway is were it would be mounted under. That's high traffic area in our house. I do want to make a more custom table for it, but the $70 table from Big Lots is working to house everything for the time being.

I'd be careful with the the $70 table. It's already bowing in the middle under the PJ weight.

Edit: Nevermind, I guess the "bowing" I see has something to do with your photo, since I don't think your hardwood flooring is not straight!
