Hello ,

Sorry to bother you but here in France I no longer have any contacts for troubleshooting Barco Ciné9.

Impossible to focus on the three tubes and when it is hot (30 mins) the image changes size, grows and then shrinks.
I change all the EHT lines?

ETH module, Quad, Splitter?

At the designer's diagnosis. EHT Fail : yes HD EHT Fail: yes If you can confirm me?

Cordially , Pierre-Marie

The changing of the image size indicates poor HV regulation. That is usually the HV splitter, and if not, then the quadrupler. While the EHT board can also cause this, it's not very likely.

Hello Curt,
Thank you for such a quick response !Smile
I can get all the EHT spare parts but they come from a Cine 8 is this compatible?
THANKS .
Pierre-Marie.

PS: On -SMP2+G2sub
No faults.
On the EHT module, no red LEDs lit.

Hello Pierre-Marie,
Yes, the HV parts from Cine 8 are interchangeable with those from Cine 9.
All splitters are the same, regardless of their part nr. R762XXX.
All later version of quadruplers will work, but sometimes they use a bit of different mounting. Be aware that if that Cine 8 was equipped with Sony 07MFP tubes, the quadrupler has an extra red HV focus cable. It will work without problems, but you have to isolate it well and make sure the end booth does not touch any metal.
As for the EHT board, must be R7627165. Later models Cine 8 with PFC built in, use the same EHT board.
As Curt already mentioned, the most suspected part is the splitter. Just change that first and don't forget the white feedback cable.

Sorry Pierre-Marie, my French is not so good, I live in the northern Belgium where they speak Dutch (Netherlands).
Both, 180DVB and P16 are Panasonic tubes. Only Sony tubes need that focus-voltage wire from the quadrupler.

Surprised

Ciné8 have P16 tubes originally, they are better (and compatible with 180DVB22), P16LXV or LXW being the best existing as far as I know

Pierre-Marie, keep in mind that part number R763368 is not the splitter, but the quadrupler.

I remember JBS and Ledoctt from the French forum back in that time. Very friendly guys with a lot of knowledge about Barco crt projectors.
No, i donn't know Ferruccio, the only Italian i know is Domenico ( Decibel on the forum ).
If Tschaeikaei can't help you, shoot me a mail at Stan.iulian@telenet.be and i will send you a splitter.

Hello, i found some bits and pieces, but others should confirm if they fit.
Quadrupler 761541 (seems to be from an older Barco data model)
Quadrupler 761743 ( seems to fit Barco 800/801/801s/1208/1209 etc)

Maybe 761743 can be used on a cine 9 or modified for it? i don't know.

Also found a splitter 761744 with an additional sticker "1029911". Seems to fit nearly every barco model from 800 to 1209/2.
The reference sheets i have predate the 909/cine 9, so i can't say anything about these models.
Best regards, Julian
