A an old friend of mine, now passed - Brett Mullins of HiFi Heaven in Falls Church, old buddy of Mike Parker - gave me a B&K-AVR307 back in 2020/1. It was a very nice gift that he thought would take my HiFi to the next level.

For whatever reason in time, I did not get around to using it, until two weeks ago when I decided to test it with my old Acoustat electrostatics. Low and behold, this thing sounded AMAZING compared to my old standard Pioneer receiver. The sound was like a katana cutting through the air, so rich and pure. Brett was absolutely on the money. It felt like magic.

Then the right channel went all scratchy. I changed the speakers. Same issue. Based on some research with others having similar issues, I think there is a fault in the power supply section. Total bummer. This sucker is so heavy (70lbs or so) that I will have to find someone local in Denver area to repair. B&K gave up the ghost and its replacement now does not accept any repairs.

But man...what an experience. I was truly missing out. If anyone has a recommendation for repairs out this way, please drop me a line.
