Sharing this for those that haven't seen it:
A couple years ago, I was reading Hugh Hefner's LITTLE BLACK BOOK at my old apartment. I turned the page what what did I find? Hef and the bunnies cuddled around a Kloss Novabeam. Such an amazing photo from long ago. Everybody looks so happy.

Actually that was an Advent, that preceded the Novabeam by a bit. (I could be wrong, did Novabeam make the Advent maybe?)

BTW, similar tubes were used in the Eidophor large scale projector. The Jackson's Victory tour had one set up at BC Place in 1986 when they came to down. At the time, it was the best large screen image I'd ever seen, and I was in the 22nd row. It wasn't NTSC video, I am guessing maybe it was 480p? I just remember being amazed by the image quality though.

Back around 1999 I purchased a GE Talaria projector, and to this day, I haven't powered it up yet.

Ugh - I stand thoroughly corrected At least I had the beam part right.
Had you seen this photo before?
Now you're just teasing with that GE Talaria. You know the rules, man - we have to see it now!

Curt you got rid of all your personal CRT's but keep the car size projectors that probably don't work? I would do the same thing though.

Actually, it's buried under my stair storage room along with a 3 X 12" Tannoy subwoofer that must weigh 300 lbs that I completely forgot about until you posted this post.
Let me work through my 250 reel to reel decks to reduce the strain on my joists, then I'll work on the Talaria.
