This almost looks like a random jumble of words, something we see sometimes with spammers. Please confirm, otherwise I'm going to nuke this post and the account. Thanks! |
User Account nuked. This has to be a spammer - they sometimes come on and post garbage, then a day or week or month later start spamming for real...

I've read through most of those, including the patent numbers, I'm looking for a little more data like on delta ii's and possibly some of the more obscure models, there have been some cheap deals on ebay pop up, and if I knew like some more specs I could possibly use them
this could possibly include rear projection TV lenses

Sorry that it doesn't add anything of value but I've been lurking for a short while and figured it was the best place to mention that seeing a forum like this still up and running is amazing! Even details such as lenses being catalogued shows the enthusiasm many have for the hobby.

Cheers!
I might as well make this a quick introduction of sorts seeing as the big guys are here (let me know if you want me to post somewhere else on the forums of course ): I've been playing around with CRT TV's/monitors in the past few years, performing a few basic tasks that I've since come to know are quite common with older electronics such as cap/IC replacements and the like.
I'm like probably everyone on this board I imagine in that I really appreciate the motion clarity that CRT provides but also find something charming about watching a VHS tape or playing a game via composite on a consumer TV for that full hit of nostalgia. I think CRT still definitely has a place in todays media landscape when it comes to enjoying some titles either having not been remastered in a better format or in the case of games in particular, their native resolution/display+signal type etc. As cliche as it is, it just can't be replicated, in my opinion.
Most recently, I've come across my first CRT projector, a VPH-G70 that has a "32" error (EC board) that I'm in the process of troubleshooting and hope to setup a home cinema in the near-ish future (maybe a year or so) and came across Curt's site. What a trove of a resource this all is! It'll keep me busy researching all aspects of that side of things and I'm sure I'll have some questions as time goes on
Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Good luck with your G70! If you get it working, and if the tubes are in decent shape, you'll be blown away by the image quality.

Fingers crossed! I’ll keep everyone updated in a separate thread when, not if, I get it fixed!
I’m really looking forward to trying it out! Blue tube looks to have some light 4:3 burn in but having not used or seen a CRT projector in person, hoping it will look passable, haha!
