Selling an un-updated OPPO BDP-93 Blu-Ray player which comes with the remote and power cord.

Asking $225. OBO, plus actual cost of shipping. I'm in Kingston, ON. You're also welcome to pick up.

Works as it should. I've been testing it to see what the effect is of not updating the firmware. It was left at the firmware version it has because subsequent version removed the ability to play blu-ray .iso files from an external drive. The effect I see is that it is picky about HDMI and HDCP versions of the devices its connected to. If I run it on my older HDMI 1.4, native 1080P tv, it does everything you'd expect. If I run it on my newer 4K tv with the input set to HDMI2.0, it shows a picture, but doesn't pass sound through the HDMI. I haven't tested whether you can get analog audio out of it. If I change the input on the 4K tv to HDMI1.4, it will play with audio. I have also tried it with two different 4K/HDCP2.2 home theater receivers, a Denon, and an Onkyo, and when connected to either of them, it won't fully boot. It shows the intro "OPPO" screen, but won't continue on to the Home screen. I'm pretty certain all of these oddities would be cleared up by updating to the final firmware, but I know there are people out there who value the ability to play .iso's over complete HDMI/HDCP compatibility. So, there you have it.

Feel free to Message me with any questions.
