I still am using this and it's great!, except the green tube is switching off when the projector is turned. It stays on about a minute intermittently flickering then totally goes off. I have checked the the video board pins and soldered some dry joints, swapped the convergence board with a spare svd800hd but same issues.

I want to remove the neck board but am not sure how to remove he red wire attached. Can anyone help me please! I really want to keep this projector!

Yes, would like to remove the red wire as this seems to be the only way to fully remove and swap the neck boards, I am not sure how its connected

Can you see the other end of it? Generally it will be plugged into the high voltage transformer/splitter and you push down and turn to release but I picture of that would help to confirm.

The red wire goes from the back of the neck board in disappears under the blue/green lens casing. I will have to take off the lens which I haven’t done before and take some photos. I will have a go this afternoon and post hopefully, I appreciate your help!!😀

That red wire is usually soldered at the CRT socket. Part of that white plastic cover slides off, exposing the solder point.

So the SIM2's solder their HV leads eh?

Are there any other projectors that solder rather than use the twist connectors?

Thanks Curt, 😊 Ok I am trying to swap neck boards from another tube on the projector to see if the board is where the problem lies. Hope I’m doing this correctly, So I remove the white casing by sliding off a cover somewhere on it and remove the wire (soldered) and remove the neck board that way.
