Hey Guys,
Finally got my G70 running. YES!! Now I’m trying to figure out how to get the Moome IFB-3D card working. I’ve tried three different sources, and looked through the latest manual. I can’t get an input signal. The link lights come on, and the remote works, but it seems somehow the signal isn’t getting where it needs to go. Any advice? Thanks!

Sorry, buy what is the Moome IFB-3D card? I've never heard of it. Do you mean the IFB-FULLHD v3 card here?: http://www.curtpalme.com/IFB-FULLHD.shtm

If that's the card you mean, take a look at the manual (available at the link above). What DanCRT means by "feeding it a signal that it can read" is that the IFB-FULLHD card makes the projector appear as a FullHD display that can do any refresh rate and the source may try to feed it 24 Hz. Force your source to 60Hz as CRT projectors can't do 24Hz. From the manual:

Quote:
*2 IFB-FULLHD V3 support these modes, and will output these signal with same
refresh rate as same as input source, but most CRT projector are only support
30Hz-150Hz, using such low refresh rate may let SONY projector working with
incorrect behavior.

Very common problem.

Good luck!

Kal

The card was already installed in the projector when I acquired it. There was no box, or manual. Only the remote. I was going by what looks like the model number printed on the back of the card, which is IFB-3D. It looks identical, as far as I can tell, to the one in the link you provided (which also has IFB-3D printed on it), so I’m assuming it’s the same thing.

I’ve tried with all three sources: Apple TV 4K (720/60P), Nintendo Switch (720/60P), and Oppo BDP-103 (1080/60 and 720/60P)i). At this point, I’m convinced there is some setting in the G70 that I need to adjust. Either that, or something is wrong with the card. I’ll continue fiddling, and see what I come up with. Thanks again!

Did you change the sources to not output 24 Hz? Most sources will automatically default to 1080p/24 and that will not work with any CRT projector.

Kal,
I listed the resolutions and scan rates above. They were all outputting at 60 Hz.

You did! Sorry about that.

See the manual I linked to above - it takes about various settings in the projector have the be set (such as setting CLAMP to H/C and INPUT to RGB). It uses the G90 as an example but other Sony projectors would probably be similar. Good luck!

Yeah, I checked those. The Clamp function isn’t accessible, and I’m not sure how to make it so. Inputs A and B are both set to RGB. The previous owner mentioned lightning, and said he thought it might’ve taken out the HDMI card. It looks like it may have taken out the HDMI card and the B board. I replaced the B board, so that works just fine. The HDMI card still appears to be functioning. It makes sounds when I use certain commands on the remote, and the LEDs indicate that it is receiving a signal…but no picture. I’ve removed the card and inspected it for visible damage, but saw nothing to indicate damage. Thanks for your help.

Ooooohhhhhhh…neat. I emailed Moome. Hopefully he’ll get back to me. Whether I have to replace it or not, I’ll definitely keep that in mind. PM me a price? You don’t happen to have a set of spare tubes you’ll part with, do ya? Thanks!

In the "for what it's worth column" my DVI card (non-moome) would only lock onto the signal if the PJ was powered up first before any input source. Never figured out why, didn't care, the remote macros took care of the timing aspects for all the theater devices.
