Everything vintage and analog is worth stupid money now. Reel to reel prices have tripled in the last 5 years, never mind the big 'monster' receivers.
Sansui's rare and top of the line G-33000 at 330 watts per channel generally goes for $10K USD, more if the original boxes are included. I knew one store that had a mint one, with boxes, and got $16K CDN/$13K USD for it.

I went to get my Rolland last night and it's gone! Damn. Sat in the corner of that room for years in a bag. It wasn't important in day to day. Just a cool toy I had when I was a kid. Damn!!

The ARP 2600 certainly has seen a lot of famous use, like the voice of R2-D2 (Ben Burtt combined the ARP 2600 with his own voice). Bands too: Beastie Boys, Brian Eno, David Bowie, Elton John, Frank Zappa, Jackson Five, John Lennon, The Who, Stevie Wonder, U2, etc.
