Hey guys, I am having problems with my 1208. It has started taking about 20 minutes of warm up time before it will show an image, once it comes on it looks great. Now it has stopped responding to the built in controller, the only button that works is the STBY to power on no other controls work STBY only works to power on it will not power off I have to use the main power button to shut it off. Also about every 3 or 4 minutes a message stating "invalid key entry" appears in the lower right corner for a few seconds without any remotes being touched or buttons being pushed. Has my main controller crapped out on me? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the buttons on the remote are sticking/built in keypad. You either need to clean them with DeOxIt, or pull the keypad membrane out, and coat the black contacts with silver conductive paint (available on eBay)

Thanks Curt! I removed the built in controller and powered up with the remote, all my symptoms are gone. Thanks again!
