Remember the guy that wanted to sell 9500 Ultras here a few months ago? I believe that these are the projectors that he was trying to sell:

https://www.gcsurplus.ca/mn-eng.cfm?snc=wfsav&sc=enc-bid&scn=364473&lcn=512905&lct=L&srchtype=&lci=&str=21&ltnf=1&frmsr=1&sf=ferm-clos

$1000 CDN for 20 9500 Ultras is a screaming deal. These are out of flight simulators that they have in Cold Lake, Ab.

For me there's not enough demand to grab these, plus I am now out of those NOS tubes I had, but if someone wants them, here you go!

sucks they will be scrapped. if they're flight sim's then trapezoid tube wear on all of them except maybe a handful of tubes that were replaced prior to decommission. So you'd be buying 2tons of 9500's to maybe get one or 2 good machines by moving tubes around.

These are on the big auction site now -- or at least they're reusing the photos. The asking price is, IMO as a novice, high. But the other huge lot of 9500LCs has an asking price that is certifiably insane.

+1

With this many they'd typically have a spare or two as well (just in case) so you'd be buying the lot hoping for that one or two machines that will be usuable.

You'd certainly get a lot of spare parts and boards however. Where you'd store all these or how you'd move them is a whole other issue. Not like you could sell the ones with oddball tube wear as nobody wants this stuff. (Hence the reason it's $1000 for 20 units). IMHO you're better off spending the $1000 on a used JVC LCOS projector if it's for HT use.
