Guys
Two mods to keep your HDM in place:
First, assemble some tools and two lengths of solid copper wire; mine is 18 ga. and 12 inches long (1.5mm x 30cm)
Note a screw on the motherboard, if it is holding a nylon clip get rid of the clip. Note
also a screw near the top of the sleeve with an L bracket. Loosen that screw also.
Bend a loop in the wire for the bottom screw and tighten into place. Run the wire to the
top screw and form a loop around it, tighten the screw and cut excess wire. This keeps
the sleeve from moving.
Your HDM sleeve should have a cover that snaps on. It should have a strip of styrofoam. Nice
idea but the styrofoam compresses over time and it is worthless. I drew two lines before removing
the styrofoam; the red line is the gap you need for the edge of the sleeve to fit. The green line
is where the edge of the HDM board will rest.
So what you need to do is build up some layers of cloth tape several mm thick to push up
on the edge of the board. Stay just inside the red line. Just add layers and try fitting until the
cover just snaps on with a little upward force, then it is snug.
Repeat for focus board sleeve and you are done.

Yes
Hundreds were ceiling mounted. We noticed two kinds of problems early on. First, the internal wire bundles coming off the power supplies were held above the fans with clips and double-stick tape that would dry out over time, and you would hear a strange buzzing noise as the fan blades ate the wires LOL. One needs to remove the bottom vent plate and secure the wire bundles with a few turns of electrical tape or some tie wraps.
The second problem was that the metal sleeves for HDM and focus boards have no rear support with the heat sink opened. More of an annoyance for the technician than cause of stoppages, but a board falling loose when the projector is running is asking or all sorts of problems including loss of scan and phosphor damage.

Someone who can cut and bend aluminum sheet can make a sexier fix than mine, but most of us lack that capability.
