Unfortunately my XG's are taking space I need in my shop more than I need them.
I haven't been able to give the time nor the room they deserve and are looking for a good home.
XG-751, SN 2100315 EA, MFG 1997, 1378 total hours.
XG-852, SN 8800014958?, MFG 1998, 1688 total hours.
4 sets ceiling mount brackets for XG sets above. One with a pipe-thread adaptor.
One RGB 108 Plus
XG full service manual
XG service remote
Assorted vga/bnc cables.
Pics on request.
Located in the Everett, WA area. Can arrange local delivery.
Anyone up for some OldSchool CRT goodness?

Yep. I've gotten more than my money's worth of joy out of 'em over the years.
These are the last two of about a dozen that's passed through my hands.
Some to friends, some to Curt, one still running (last I heard) in the house in Pullman that we sold over a dozen years ago.
And the current house just doesn't have a proper room to do them justice, at least not for several years.
Mebbe I'll pick-up a laser based system by then...
https://surplus.wsu.edu/ has been a good source for me. GoCougs.
For now, with our little kids and the space and lighting we have, went with something a bit more utilitarian, NEC PA500U.

Just found the receipt for my Used SONY 1252 bought at the pawn shop in 2006 for $608.54!
Had NO idea what I was doing other than knowing what cables to have - VGA to 5BNC.
Now I can set one up like playing a video game

Too bad these beasts are not easier to set to the side or store.
What goes around comes around. I hope enough of these sets survive, so as to be there, when they are wanted again. Just like vintage tube amps are in high demand, decades after they lost their appeal.

I seriously doubt it. Had thought of that many times as the price has dropped over the years. The G90 specifically is having SMT capacitor failures at this point, which is a terminal issue. Not so (so far) with Marquees and BArcos, and I am still running my two 909s here, and have enough parts to keep them going until I die.
Maybe I'll go digital one day, it's tempting each time they are out of calibration, but right now my HT is a low priority, and I think it's been 3 months since I've fired them up. Most of my TV watching lately has been in hotel rooms as I've been out of town a lot.

Is this a sudden failure or gradual decline. What are the symptoms and which board? Why can't a new SMT be soldered onto the affected board?
