I sold a projector around 5 years ago, the new owner contacted me because he has some problems.

After about 30 minutes from power on the tubes turn off.
The fans turn and LEDs light up.

The red LED on the EHT board lights up.

He tried to change all the elements of the high voltage: eht, quad and splitter but the inconvenient is always the same.
Any suggestions?

I have exactly the same problem.
Started last week.
After 30 minutes of normal operation, the tubes suddenly turn off.
Turning the PJ off and back on, brings back the picture but only for a few minutes until it happens again.

Any ideas?

maybe static buildup from 1 of the tubes?

try running 1 tube at a time(remove hv lead from splitter) for 1 hour and see which tube is the culprit.

if you need to replace the hv lead not any silicone will do the job, you`ll need " special" silicone.

does curt still sell hv leads?

It's a bad quad or HV section. I won't have time to set up another Barco until August or even September to test quads and splitters in, sorry as I am out of town a lot. Email me if you're looking for them, I don't check this forum too often. THanks!
