OK, so I have new tubes in my G90. A P19LQPB red, a P19LQF blue and a P19LUG green. I have not finalized any of the settings yet, but all the tubes are set to about the same output as far as seeing a internal pattern on the screen. I just noticed, the other day, that the green will hold a image well after the PJ is shut down. It's a very faint image, you can not see it on the screen, only when you look at the face of the tube. Now this seems to be out of the ordinary. The blue and red do not do this, and I have not seen this with any of the other PJ's that I have owned. The tube in question, the green is a VDC tube. If I remember correctly, is VDC not a tube re-builder and that this tube could be a rebuilt tube? If that is the case, could this mean the tube needs to be broken in. Or do I have a tube that has a slow phosphor? Or could it be something else?

Yeah that's normal for greens. For whatever reason that particular phosphor takes longer to emit all its photons and settle back into a stable condition. That's why they have the P43 fast-phosphor green tubes for 3D displays -- the slow green decay isn't a problem for normal video, but it causes noticeable ghosting when you have two alternating images.
I wouldn't worry about it, Deron. Maybe you never noticed it before, but I'd bet every green tube you've ever had worked the same way.

Same thing with my G90. All LUG's. Ghostly green image remains on screen for a few seconds post shutdown
