I have an older Barco data 808 that has worked great in our home theater for several years. Recently we have been experiencing some glitches with the red gun switching off and on for the first 15 minutes after powering up. After that it stays on fine. Then last week we noticed when we turn the projector on the entire picture is shifted to the left. As it warms up it drifts back to center. Other issues include the remote no longer controls the projector (yes I checked batteries and I know it's sending an IR signal) and we can't turn it off without shutting off main power button next to the AC input. If we simply press the power standby button on the control panel, the unit goes black for six seconds then turns itself back on.

I'm sure these problems are associated with the control board and whichever board controls the picture drift. I am looking for guidance on which boards to change and where I can purchase them

Thank you

Two different problems. Three actually.

Ont he remote, press that little recessed button that isn't labeled. Then press 0,0,0. Do the same with the keypad on the projector. that resets the remote to the correct address.

INtermittent red- swap the red video amp with the green. That's the gray box, bolted to the chassis above the CRT tube socket. See if the problem moves to the green.

Image shift- bad focus/H shift board. When it shifts, is the test pattern shifted off screen too? If so, I wouldn't run the projector for long, as the image is most likely off the edge of the tube which can implode a tube.

I should have stock of all boards.
