Guys
I built and sold a 9500 to a business exec here locally about twelve years ago, new tubes, nice repaint to soft white, the works. He used it briefly and traded it to a friend of mine for a digital, don't know why. It went into a luggage case and into storage at another guys' warehouse. Those guys get into a dispute, not sure what about. The second guy decides to close the warehouse and retire. Calls the first guy and sez come and get this thing. First guy calls me and sez "Do you want a free projector, it was Rizley's and he barely used it."
Sure, why not? But I'm skeptical that a cable company VP never used his very expensive theater room we built.
Well, it wasn't free, I ended up buying it, it arrived last night. First blush is, it's like new but the glycol resembles Iced Tea, which means the fill hole screws need replacement. So, new glycol, new fill hole screws, new CLM battery, and this thing will hum. It already has my fan noise mod, and we might have put MP mods in it, I have to look when the tubes come out.
G2s were in the 58 range, so maybe this thing is like new!!! I'll get the glycol in and do a new evaluation.
This machine has gone through my evaluation, delayed some by the need for new bellows. The bellows from Nash are first-rate! As I suspected, the tubes are like new. It has three new tubes, my fan noise mod, anamorphic mod, HD10L lenses (short throw), cream white paint job on the lids, and a luggage case. Curt said I can list it for sale here, so thinking $2250 and freight cost. I can swap in some GT17 lenses for an additional $200, or HD10Es for an additional $500.
These last sold for $33,000 new, so I don't want to hear any whining! LOL

Guys
Good question Kal. No MP mods on this one. It does have fan mod with Papst 3414s and the anamorphic mod to the vertical board. I expect some MP modded boards are around for sale, I don't have any.

Guys
This machine is finished, just need to put the lids on. If you have MP modded boards, I can install and test them for you and drop the price a little.
Make me an offer!

Comes with Panasonic LCP09s with new Nash bellows. The tubes test like new with G2s near 60. Very little use.
I have HD-10Ls, GT17s and HD-10Es to choose from.

What was the verdict on this? You never mentioned. (figured some people would want to know)

Tim is dealing with this right now for one of my customers, who I had told I'm no longer offering mods or upgrades. So he's getting what he has transferred to another set.

Our mutual customer has selected an Ultra, so this 9500 pictured above is still available.
