Guys
I built and sold a 9500 to a business exec here locally about twelve years ago, new tubes, nice repaint to soft white, the works. He used it briefly and traded it to a friend of mine for a digital, don't know why. It went into a luggage case and into storage at another guys' warehouse. Those guys get into a dispute, not sure what about. The second guy decides to close the warehouse and retire. Calls the first guy and sez come and get this thing. First guy calls me and sez "Do you want a free projector, it was Rizley's and he barely used it."
Sure, why not? But I'm skeptical that a cable company VP never used his very expensive theater room we built.
Well, it wasn't free, I ended up buying it, it arrived last night. First blush is, it's like new but the glycol resembles Iced Tea, which means the fill hole screws need replacement. So, new glycol, new fill hole screws, new CLM battery, and this thing will hum. It already has my fan noise mod, and we might have put MP mods in it, I have to look when the tubes come out.
G2s were in the 58 range, so maybe this thing is like new!!! I'll get the glycol in and do a new evaluation.
I'll launch it on Ebay in a couple weeks.

Dunno. The first time I sold it was $16,500 LOL. I have lowered my expectations considerably. The tubes, if they test "as-new" with fresh glycol, will make the difference.
