Guys
I acquired four LVPSs in April. One went to a Phoenix customer four weeks ago, his was causing the control board to reinitialize on every third or fourth power-up. "Don't turn it off!" I told him LOL.
Fixed that, then a fan bearing went noisy for him so I'm testing the other three power supplies I still have here, so I can hand my customer another LVPS (I'll swap fans on his). Two of Those don't work!
The first one I tested, the high voltage won't come up. No LEDs lit anywhere so possibly the +390v is dead. There is no easy access to measure that short of soldering a wire into the HVPS, and I'm not sure where to put that, as I have no extenders.
The second one I tested fired up, but the picture is half the expected brightness. I'm testing using the left side projector in my blend rig so the problem is quite obvious. On the Marquee, the filaments get about 4 volts at Ready, going to 6.3 v at Power-On, so the image comes up faster. I'm thinking it's stuck on 4 volts. gotta get out the voltmeter and put some missing boards in my test projector in the shop. It's a CCI unit with no filament trimmer to drift off. It might be possible to fix that one if I knew where the filament gets switched higher, I'll get back to you.
