|
|
Hello all,
I'm new to the forum, trying to resurrect a barco cine7, tried to use search to see if that would get me anywhere.
The problem i have at the moment, it comes out of standby, i think i hear the HV coming up followed by a ticking sound out of the front spms board.
The front led show, all green lights expect HTHD and 1 red led is on SF.
Any idea? is this typicall of a quadrupler failure?
Thanks in advance
Bas

Make sure it is the SF light that comes on. It's easy to miscount the red LEDs.
IF it is a SF fault, then it's usually a problem on the deflection board, which is the board that is in the middle of the flip up tray that covers the tubes. You'll need circuit tracing/diagnosis skills to narrow that down.

Whoa what a swift reply, thanks
tried again and it is the SF light for sure
other thing to mention is that all green leds are on until it starts ticking, 5 sec after coing out of standby and then the HTHD green led goes off, the rest of the green ones stay on

Sorry for spamming my on topic
okay powered on with the top cover removed and board flapped up (you hopefully get what i mean) and yes there is a red led on the deflection board illuminated (Horizontal Scan Fail)
That means the board is bad?

Try swapping out the power supply and the whole RGB input board tray.
