All you east coasters.. understand that I am on the West Coast, and am 3 hours behind you. Not sure why you'd call at 8:30 AM on a Sunday East Coast time for tech support.. but that's 5 friggin' thirty AM West Coast time. No, I am not giving you free tech support at that hour, sorry!

That's the thing, I do offer 24 hour support for local clients.
It's only happened twice in the last 10 years. Both at 5:30 AM, both on a Sunday, and both people from the East Coast. This time I didn't answer, the last time I did, and when I mentioned that it was 5:30 AM the reply from New Joisey was 'well, you answered the phone, so can i ask the question?'
I think it's the only time in 35 years that I replied 'no' and hung up on a customer.

Sounds like you're kinda screwed then, unless people read this and actually listen to your plea. I'm on call on occasion and have to have my ringer on. I "do not disturb" certain contacts because I don't want to be bothered but other than that I'm at the mercy of people not calling in early because I HAVE to respond to the page/call should it go out.

It's just common sense though, right? I'll answer the phone as early as 8 AM on a Sunday, in fact I always joke that I know when it's 5 PM, as I get more calls between 4:45 and 6 PM than during the rest of the day, but seriously, 8:30 AM to ask a question of someone running a business on a Sunday, even if you ignore the time zone change...
