Apparently an email went out last night to a bunch of my customers with an attachment. Do not open it, it is a virus. Sorry about that, be on my control though

Sounds like your laptop or computer may be infected with something that's email out to your customer base?

Are you sure the emails are coming from you?

Anyone could be sending out emails and making them appear to come from one of your email addresses. Happens all the time (I've had it happen myself).

To confirm, one of your customers needs to send you the email header of a message they (supposedly) got from you. For example:

Code:
Return-Path: <curtpalme@vm157.vps1.hostirian.com>
Delivered-To: kal@curtpalme.com
Received: from vm157.vps1.hostirian.com
by vm157.vps1.hostirian.com with LMTP id mH6ZMbarHVqlZAAAP266Xw
   for <kal@curtpalme.com>; Tue, 28 Nov 2017 12:32:22 -0600
Return-path: <curtpalme@vm157.vps1.hostirian.com>
Envelope-to: kal@curtpalme.com
Delivery-date: Tue, 28 Nov 2017 12:32:22 -0600
Received: from curtpalme by vm157.vps1.hostirian.com with local (Exim 4.89)
   (envelope-from <curtpalme@vm157.vps1.hostirian.com>)
   id 1eJkgA-0006tO-L3
   for kal@curtpalme.com; Tue, 28 Nov 2017 12:32:22 -0600

With this you can determine who actually send it. Not much you can do to stop them from spoofing your email address however. But at least it lets you know you're clean.

I got a email back of this with said attachment.
It was setup as a sale email(thankfully I never opened it)

Curt viruses can come from anywhere with computers(trust me I speak from experience) and hackers can also get into anything(seen this firsthand)

Hope you get it fixed soon as I need to get a couple cooling chambers from you for my marquee(green tubes chamber is way out of wack and I can’t fix it)
I was wanting to put a red c element in the red tube and getting a new chamber would help tremendously.
Email me when you get the chance.
