The G90 is moved into taking over for awhile. Gotta snatch those lenses off the Marquee first though, and then get on that G90 streaking problem.

Had to hook my other Blu Ray up and take a few more shots before the changeover...and I think I'm doing better with this cheap camera

Again look at the footing notes on this page, that shows I'm no longer doing Marquee Mods. But will However jump right back on a G90 next week, and it will be my next project for awhile. And anything G90 that we've already done, to include any new changes we plan on making I will be posting in a thread. I'll be posting a new thread on the G90 where those who also like tinkering can look at what we've done so far and two of the other issues I plan to solve. with one being the streaking problem.

Now being out of doing mods for the Marquee, brings an end to maybe 15 years of doing mods. And for the last two years I had to give up the best gig I've that also allowed me to travel and deal with some very serious commercial systems, that I had to move on from with a broken heart, because it was the best. The reasoning was medical, with me not not really recovering to this day, but have gotten better in some regards. In some ways I'm considered Disabled. And that'll make me more of a hobbies instead.

Just a few shots using my personal Marquee video chain - straight from the Blu Ray to Moome, no sharpening, into a bvery fast, low noise and non Peaking Video chain.

And here is a shot taking full power (contrast 100)

I think we should rename this thread to the Mike Parker screenshot thread! Very Happy

But in all seriousness, I believe Craig Rounds did a post on how to get rid of raster ringing on the G70 - see this: http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=268483 (scroll down to his 5:50pm post). I suspect that if you follow this guide you could be rid of your raster ringing on the G90 too since they're similar enough. It's worth a shot at least. When I had my G70 working, I followed that guide and it pretty much eliminated all ringing.

I also want to say - WOW - those pictures from the scenes in the city with the yellow taxi cabs were just magnificent! So much image depth - incredible.

It appears that way..Smile I'll still post shots, and will still honor any Marquee warranty repairs and some upgrades of previous customers only.

You must mean dealing with it with a processor like the Lumagen, by changing the timings. I'm talking about getting rid of it without using a processor. Doing so in the Marquee itself and using direct source hookup.

I'll do a color balance and will post more showing that depth sometime this week. It's really a two dimensional look that shows what a 2D image looks like.

I'm working on some boards for a local customer, that shows what a lightening strike can do to your system and Marquee LVPS. This is more of a grounding problem, one that was corrected by me some years ago, that the electrician that installed the ground grid into the ground forgot one important thing that is a must to do. And it's also was some of the problems I had been solving in various areas in the country for those 15 years as a consultant. This work is beyond electrical code, and is listed under IEEE Grounding. That sets different standards that protect sensitive electronic equipment. A VIM and other electronic equipment was also damaged from the strike.

Not quite the depth of the other shots..Very Happy

Trying a different set of Op Amps in the moome, and there's a bit of overshoot on smpte.

Now switching to my second set of neck boards. After firing them up, I had to throw a few shots at it.

I'll most likely continue to post the shots, though I've now signed on to repair band and commercial gear in my shop and at another location a few days a week. This allows me the freedom of still not doing a full time gig. And with my shop being cleared out some months ago, I'm ready for the work load. So between now and the first of next month when I take on the new project. I'll be moving some things around and will be making some much needed changes. But in the mean time, I'll still have some time do post shots..Very Happy

The camera is really falling apart, as I tighten up my second set of personal boards (both sets are still different). I only have one more thing to do and I should be done getting these where they should be.

What happens when your video chain is near flat 1080P (no peaking) bandwidth, very fast and clean and you're still using a cheap camera.

Look for the white in their eyes. A very fast video chain also allows for exceptional whites and black level performance, which are normally diminished when the video chain does not have good flat bandwidth response and speed at 1080P. Also when it's done right (speed and clean bandwidth), is when you're able to see the depth and transparency that should be seen from good 1080P images (2D)
