Hi I have been using a marquee 8500 for several years now with this issue and just found this site...The projector seems to cut off ~ 15% of the image on the left have side. When I adjust the picture size using the menu selection it changes the size but does not expand the picture so I get the full image. This is the case on DVD as well of TV. Is there a set up piece that I am missing? Thanks Simon, Calgary, AB

Hey,

I'm absolutely not a specialist and still struggling with my own 8500 but I can give my two cents. Laughing Check out the blanking settings, just to make sure thats not masking the picture. If that won't help, take a look at the CRT faces and make sure the picture (raster) is centered.

Blanking makes sense. What is your source, and how are you feeding the signal to the projector?

Although I don't think the number is 15 percent, it is well known that some Marquees can NOT display both "real" edges of the image at the same time without a modification.

There is a service bulletin covering that issue, and it's here on Curt's site in the projector information pages.

Thanks for all the replys! I just checked the blanking and all is at 0 so no issue there. I do think the rasta is not centered though.

Would that have an affect on getting a full image?

And this occurs with dvd, blue ray and normal tv.

Just the left hand side of the image is cut off slightly. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Simon

I think the blanking issue I mentioned in my last reply is likely to be the issue at hand.

I have YET to encounter an older Marquee that didn't have that issue. FYI I currently have eight Marquees
and only the newest ones seem to not have this issue. Newer being ones made after 2005 in this case.
