I never got an SVHS version but I have 2 regualr VHS industrial decks. No controler.

I would have been all over that 20 years ago. Panasonic indudtrial VHS was how I got my furst surround sound from the VHS of Twister, c. 1996

How about beta? https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/phd/6314300410.html

Oddly, the BVW-95 loads from the side of the unit. That makes no sense.

I never got into Betacam SP but I did have an EDBeta cam.

However there is a regular Betamax in the trunk of my car right now.

That side loader looks like it's for a cart system with autochanger to play multiple tapes

I'm very surprised you're not a Beta fan.

What about old Panasonic video cameras? https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/phd/6314418587.html

Did you not see this line from above?

So yes Phil, I am a Beta fan, but due to the age all I have/find are non-functional Sad

I passed on one of those not too long ago. The use a DIN cable to the old 80's VHS VCR's for power and audio/video. Well built, but again due to age, not likely to work. I know any of the old VHS machines I have with that inout are now just display pieces. Most will still flash 12:00 though Mr. Green

A customer bought all this stuff at a self-storage auction. He thought he really had something. When I explained that its all totally obsolete he was really disappointed. At that point he probably would have given it to me just to be rid of it. I'm sure he lost money because I didn't pay much. $20-30 total. But now I'm the one with buyer's remorse. I spent a lot time yesterday researching and listing that stuff on craig'slist and I'll be very lucky if any of it sells. I'll probably end up having to throw it all away.

But there was a time I would have killed to own stuff like this, so my judgement at that moment was impaired. Smile

You know. You should change the tittle to " Things I have that Jeremy wished he had 20 years ago"
