|
|
I have a Lumagen VisionHDQ that I just got in from a client on trade. It is in near mint condition and includes the HDQ, remote, power brick and cord, and a null modem cable. I just tested everything and it is in perfect working order. Unfortunately, no original box with this one. I also have just updated the firmware to the newest version.
Also included are 2x DVI to HDMI converters and 3x BNC to RCA converters.
I will post some more photos by Saturday if it hasn't sold by then. Here is a quick shot:
This unit is a very powerful and useful tool for CRT projectors. It can output up to 1080p 60Hz over DVI and much more with its RGBHV outputs (easily 1080p 72Hz with RGBHV). It features the following inputs:
4x DVI (can run as HDMI if manually configured).
1x SD-SDI input
2x composite
2x component
2x s-video
This model does not accept 1080p 60Hz on the input, but it does accept 1080p 24Hz, 1080i 60/50 Hz, 720p, and 480p/i.
My favorite way to run this unit is with an HDCP stripper between source and HDQ and then RGBHV to the projector. This way you can run 1080p 72Hz and not worry about HDCP. It is also fin to run HDMI/DVI directly to the projector if all you need is 1080p 60Hz or less. It is a great processor for any CRT, but some really cool things it can do off hand is allow for 1080p 60Hz to run correctly on NEC and Marquee projectors by adjusting the 1080p timings. It can also do active area scanning and run 817x1920p at 72Hz for 2.35 BD without scaling. Honestly, it can do so many different things I can't list them all so feel free to ask questions.
Price is $249 shipped within the continental USA. For any other buyer location the price is $229 plus PayPal fees and actual shipping cost. These are firm prices and I will not accept offers for less. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Craig

I'm quite interested in this.
I'd be using it to replace a Faroudja NRS-720 between my Pioneer Elite 91 Laserdisc Player and an NEC XG 110LC I bought from Curt several months ago to replace my failed 10PG. The NRS just can't drive the XG the way it could the 10PG I'm afraid.
Curt suggested that I look for an HDP or HDQ to replace the NRS for this application. I'd only be using it to upscale Laserdisc 480i content, but it looks like it can do the job and more.
If it is still available let's talk.

I have an HDQ and give it a strong recommendation. One thing it offers that is a huge benefit is 11 point greyscale calibration. If you take the time to do this calibration, your color accuracy will be excellent indeed.

I have another one available just like it that I could sell you. I've been using it on my test bed G90 for months and it works perfectly. I probably can even include the same accessories. Just email me your shipping address if you are interested and I can get you a final price quote.

A great unit and a good price, Brian! That will solve your issues, and probably smoke the Faroudja as far as pix quality to boot.
