|
|
I have a a red & blue tube from a marquee 9500LC .They appear to be P19LPV02 from base wiring and the modified VNB. I also have a red, green & blue tubes which I bought from Niktec. I had a problem with the projector and spotted the green CRT and never used the projector. Is there any interest in the CRTs they show no sign of wear. Any one interested in these tubes and what are they worth. I think they require the 40KV high voltage power supply. I have the 3 modified VNBs.

That's basically an LCP tube with the same pinout as Sony tubes. It'll work the same as an LCP once the neck board is modified correctly.
They're made by Lexel. Lexel usually makes first rate tubes. They should be good to go.

They look like Thomas tubes particularly based on the fact they have a Sony pin out.
Are there any other numbers on the tubes?

I have one that is identical to that one, when I get a chance I'll dig it out and check the label information on it.
It's a Sony pinout tube in a Panasonic envelope format.
I was thinking Lexel but upon second thought, it MIGHT be a Thomas tube. I know that it's always been easier to get custom tubes
made by Thomas than by anybody else.

There are no numbers or text on the tube.

Warning
Those are hacked-together early VDC rebuilds with home-made electron guns and dreadful focus. Worthless.

No, Tim, THIS tube type is a special type built to order for L3 Communications to provide a Panasonic format tube that is plug and play compatible with FSI Skylight projectors which used Sony tubes.
VDC had nothing to do with them.
Note the distinctive funnel shaped component in the gun assembly. VDC rebuilds never had that.
But VDC DID use the same brown dag coating which contributes to the similarity.

Say CM
I tried to help this guy two years ago. And I launched Novatron into the Panny rebuilds. They DID use a gun like that, and these tubes are likely From Novatron.

But it's the Sony pinout that's the kicker. Have you ever heard of VDC making a rebuild with a Sony pinout?
I know for a fact that you can get Sony pinout, Panasonic format tubes from Thomas and Lexel.

CRT faces. Could only display crosshatch pattern due to the crts are hooked to a projector with a 34KV HV power supply.
