Guys
Any mods needed to neckboards? Any problems using LPB03s?

Hi,
nope. Only difference is that the LBP's don't have the 'KH' grid (on pin 7 with a LUG tube). It is tied to ground through a 10 meg resistor. You can leave it like it is...

Just make sure where G2 is. It'll be on 2 or 6. Otherwise, same pinout. Should run fine, calibration may be different.
My understanding is that LPBs are higher resolution than LCPS but not as high as LUGs.
LUGs normally have G2 on pin 6. LCPs have been made with G2 on pin 2 (standard) or pin 6 (customized for AmPro)
but I don't know what's the standard for LPBs.

Is the G90 pin base different from that as used on Barcos and Marquees?
If so, you would also want to very CAREFULLY cut the silicone between the tube glass and the pin base and carefully remove
the pin bases and put the appropriate one on the tube.
I DO mean carefully, and I DO mean gently. I've lost a tube or two in the process of doing this, but fortunately they were well
worn donor tubes. When replacing the pin base on a good tube to be used again, I was much more careful and had no problems.

Hi,
Nope. I have both Marquee neck boards and G90 neck boards here. After careful inspection and after plugging them onto spare tubes, I can confirm that they have the same pin orientation and signal assignment. It's just that Sony did use a dedicated socket whereas Ehome went for a PCB with individual contact pins and separate arc suppressors. Otherwise a LUG for a G90 would have to have a different socket and pinout than the one used in other PJ brands...

I'm actually asking about the plastic pin base itself. On the tube. Which may be black or white plastic. The ones used on Marquees and (at least some) Barcos have a largish "pocket" feature that contains pins 1 and 2.
There is another variety of tube base that doesn't have that pocket.
I don't know if the G90s can use the base with the pocket. If not, I have the base style without it, and they can be changed out on the tube if need be, but there is some element of risk involved.
I have plenty of those bases if anybody needs a couple.
I know that the pin assignments are the same in any case. As long as we're talking about Panasonic spec tubes,
aside from G2 being on either pin 2 or on pin 6 depending on model and options.

The G90 socket does accommodate the pocket-style pin base. No problem...

Cool. Because if you don't HAVE to swap out the base, then that is of course for the best. Nobody wants to hear a tube go HISS.
