Sorry guys, but due to a great increase of spammers I've now enabled "admin acceptance" for any new users. This means new users have to be accepted by me before they can post. Annoying for them, but should result in less annoyance for everyone else as it should eliminate most spam.
In most cases new users will only have to wait a few hours before their account is accepted and they can post.
Kal

I think this is a good move!
I can't believe that people get paid to post crap like that. I could never do a boilerroom type job, but even if they pay 50 cents an hour, I don't see where the return is. Frankly, I am so over ALL internet advertising, that I find myself using less sites like Youtube, that I used to go to often to have playing in the background while I was working. Ads have killed that.

Obviously it still works, or they wouldn't be paying to do it.
Curt, try AdBlocker. It does a great job of removing the ads before every freaking video on YouTube. I want them to be able to make a profit, but not when they show me the same $!@&!! ad 10 times in a row before every video I watch.

Nice Kal!
When Yahoo started advertising in their mail ( my ISP Rogers uses Yahoo mail as their online portal ) I called them and told them in no uncertain terms that I would never, ever, Ever, EVER buy a damned thing they advertise at me. I told them to get the adds "God damed gone" the Indian fellow on the other end of the phone said I was rude. Can you guys believe that?! Moi? Rude hehehehehe.
To this day I have never bought anything advertised at me.
My other peeve is when you look at something on Amazon and for the next 10 years they banner add it at you on every page even AFTER you bought it already. Jeeze!
So Kal, how good did nuking that first spaming ******* feel?

It didn't. All I feel is more annoyed because the work is a giant waste of time. I really need to get that newer CAPTCHA installed, just haven't had enough hours in the day to do everything.

I like the capcha that says "Type 'I am a human' " lol
The one I ran into yesterday was a three step. You had to select all the tiles in a picture that had road signs in them that were square then the 2nd set were all road signs that were round followed by typing a word in the capcha.
Very effective I would say.

Great move with the Admin check. F#####g spam is really annoying me. Not that its getting through but what I have to do and monitor on my business sites to keep it in check. There should be a self destruct you can send back to the spammer.
