Hello Everyone
Could anyone share working timings for
1080p48
1080p60
1080p72 (probably not the most useful)
for a Barco 808 (or any barco without a high scanning mode)
I have been testing with CRU and my HTPC (waiting on a VP50 pro delivery) and I can see the difference the porch timings make on the left banding issue but I'm sure we have people here who have already done the entire process and have workable timings they can share!

Hi,
I'm very interested in this too! My 808 just works with 1080p50 - PAL (VP20).
Here's my timing for 1080p50:
1920x1080(p)px
black front blanking: H - 528px / V - 4px
sync: H - 44px / V - 5 px
total px: H - 2640px / V - 1125px
pixel timing: 148
refresh rate: 56.25 KHz
I don't know how to correctly translate - "black front blanking" is "vordere Schwarzschulter" in german. And I don't recommend to use this timing for 1080p50 as it flickers to much. For me, 1080i50 is still the best way to go with a 808. Are there better 1080p timings working well for 808(s)?

Whenever I come accross question regarding resolutions for 8" machines I always promote the 1080i 96Hz. This I find it to be the best compromise. I don't know if my viewing conditions or myself, but I find even the 72Hz refresh distracting during movies. 1080i 96Hz bringed me totally flicker free experiance, and all this for the (bandwidth/scanrate) cost of the 1080p 48Hz. The only downside is the half-frames may become visible with diagonal edges, (but this is far less noticeable for me than flickering).
I used this on my NEC 9PG xtra, and still use this with the XG135LC.
These are the timings I use, although it is for the NEC, but I think the blanking time is roughly the same for both machines in this range, so it should work.

I found this on another thread. Its for a DVDO
Just a quick correction, they top out at 165Mhz. 1080p72 can still be achieved though as follows:
H-SHIFT 64
H-SIZE 1920
H-FRONT 32
H-SYNC 32
H-BACK 32
V-SHIFT 29
V-SIZE 1080
V-FRONT 3
V-SYNC 5
V-BACK 29
I run my 808s at 1080p@48. I changed the 808s to a 919 so I did change a few of the DVDO settings. I think I have them written down somewhere. I will try and find them. To make 1080p worth while with the 808s I did a lot of mods and fitted HD144 lens. Does your 808 have the higher bandwidth neck boards? If not Curt may have everything you need to bring it up to the 808s level. What tubes are in the 808?
