Kal, Can I ask why you went with 10 gauge ? I have been told over and over again that anything bigger than 12 gauge is a waste of money and completely unnecessary. I am using what amounts to 8 gauge now. I could use some of the lengths I have but several wont be long enough so I wanted to replace it all with the same gauge wire. I am also bi wiring each speaker so every run is really X 2. Thanks.

My HT is in my basement that is the reason I wanted OFC. Less issues with corrosion or so I have been told.

I remember trying 4/0 booster cables. I didn't hear a difference over the 14 gage standard stuff either.
I find more of a difference on interconnect cables than speaker wire.

SC | excellent article. I'm glad he pointed out that not all speaker cable sounds the same, some if it is actually BAD and will degrade your system. Primarily The high capacitance sh*t usually made by some audiophile company.
I'm running a 2-stranded solid copper zip chord, equivalent to 9 gauge, approx. 15 feet long and it sounds excellent.
