I gave away my old PG that was working normally when I took it down to put up my 4600HD. It has been in a dry closet, wrapped in a blanket for many years until I decided to give it away F8 seems to be a convergence related error. Any idea what to look for? He's a techie and will be able to fix it if he knows where to look.

Yes, for first try he should remove the power connector (CP) of the C-drive board. BUT the biggest question whether that NEC is still running on the original capacitors, if so, no reliable service is expected unless ALL electrolyte capacitors are changed!

Hanging on the point board and as luck would have it, he had a spare. He's doing the setup as we speak.
