|
|
Greetings.
I have 2 HDMI Moome cards in an ISS switcher. They work fine when they run, however to get to that point, it's a random throw of the dice to see how long that takes.
When the switcher is first turned on, the red SEL lights for both cards are on.
-During this time, you can you can move the select switch to component, and it will produce an output without a problem.
-No HDMI input will be accepted.
At a random interval, the red LED will turn off, for whatever reason, both at the same time, and an HDMI signal will link, and be displayed with no issue.
I can't seem to find a manual for these cards, and the switcher manual really doesn't cover this ground.
I've done all sorts of things, swap card positions, play with jumpers, DIP switches, etc.
Any thoughts on how to alleviate this?

Could this be some HDCP nonsense??
Any manual out there for these cards?
I've no luck, still.

The only reason why I keep hounding for ideas, the problem has progressively gotten worse.
I have not been able to get the cards to work on HDMI since the weekend.

Oooooooook.
So apparently this whole issue has something to do with the internal function of the ISS 6020.
I still have no idea how to really resolve it...
But I have gotten the HDMI portions of the cards to work again, by re-installing the S-Video card I removed this weekend.
Apparently something weird happens in regards to how the auto detection system works in the ISS switcher. It seems that it will not "allow" the cards to work properly until the video is properly initialized.
With the S-Video card installed, the S-Video input is the first thing recognized, and routed. Even providing another input, the indicators don't change for a bit, but the video still passes. (IE: RGBHV to RGBHV)
After awhile the RGB indicator turns on, and the HDMI portions of the MOOME cards become active at that stage.
So.. Yeaaaaaah. That's where we are now with this.

Oh, and the other side of the story:
Without the S-Video card installed, the option stays at RGB, and never changes. The MOOME cards stay un-useable in this state
I thought pulling the S-Video card would fix the problem.
Whatever happens in this detection change with the S-Video card installed is probably the reason the cards "unlock" or whatever.
Certainly weird.

I have found manuals for the 6020, but they really don't seem to address anything I am seeing.
I can pretty much live with the way things work, tbqh, as long as they remain working this way lol.

So, Apparently that wasn't the magic answer.
The cards are back to being stubborn again, however.
->The switcher display seems to not get off of the NTSC 3.58 S-VIDEO indicators, now.
The switcher would swap to RGB, then the cards would be useable at that point.
Further post to track issue to see where this ends up.

OF COURSE something different happens after I create a post, and tinkered with the switcher for about 3 hours...
So, moved some settings back to auto, and it's working better, but still unpredictable.
Apparently, I have to have it on RGB, and then drop my laptop while it's connected to the RGB ports, then plug it back in, and it works just fine >..>
AFTER the RGB automatically switches over,.
Could the switcher be stuffed? Or just extremely coincidental nonsense?
I read something awhile back about chicken bones and moome cards.
I think I need to buy some wings and drummies tonight...
As of right now, I'm very confident that it's not issues withe cards however.

I remember Cliff having an issue with the NEC switcher where he had to tighten the screws for the power supply?? Maybe that issue has hit yours too?

2 other options here.... I send you the other two switchers with the remaining cards, or I can pull all the cards, incl the CPU boards and power supplies, and send those to you for far less shipping costs, and throw out the frames. Let me know.
I did only test the Moome cards for 5 minutes, but both locked instantly to my 1080p signal, and passed a good signal. As I emailed you, considering both did it, I think the issue is not in the Moome cards as you say..
