Hi,
i got a free Barco Data 600 some time ago, but neither direct RGB TTL input nor putting it through the RCVDS-Box did any good.

Closest one:
When i wired a VGA-Cable (15-Pin) to a 9-Pin Connector in the following Order, the Laptop recognized a 1024x768 Display, but the projector did nothing:
R, G, B, Gnd, Gnd, nc, nc, HS, VS

When the convergence board was unplugged, i had display recognition but the red d2-Led (near VFII) lit up (both autolock disabled or enabled)

With the convergence board plugged, i had the switch on its "convergence pattern" to make the laptop think there was a display, and the above described red LED went out.
However, when switched to RGB (as it should be!?), the second display vanished on the software panel and the red led came back.

When switching on the "convergence pattern", the green LED on the focus board lit up shortly, but vanished again.

I checked all fuses, there are no other red led's on, the bases of the tubes are lit a bit orange-ish, i removed the "blanking jumper", too.

Also, how to handle the RGB ttl micro-switches?
I have downloaded the pdf's, but what mode is the pc on (i suppose positive?)?
tried switching the whole row down, the whole up, but didn't do any good.

Any advice?

regards, hiaschey

EDIT: i also soldered myself this "remote-box" with the brightness- and contrast-controls

Im not sure if you can feed that signal into that port on those, might have to use the 5 BNC connectors

@CasetheCorvetteman
Yes, i also have such a box, referred to as RCVDS-Box i think. Mine reads "Barco RGB TTL and EGA compatible".
But when i connected the remote to it, and my VGA cable with the different pinouts, the laptop didn't recognize it as a display (i think).
(yes, the box was hooked up with coax to the projector, and a remote-forward-cable)

As far as i remember, my laptop only recognized it as a display when i fed the VGA directly into the RGB TTL input on the projector's back.
(VGA hoockup via terminals or breadboard and a 9pin connector)

Itll only do 576i and 480i though too i think, so if you have an svideo or composite video out on that computer you might wanna try that, if not just try a DVD player.

Looks like it scans to 64kHz, i wouldnt expect it to look watchable at 720p though.

You cannot use the TTL input, you need to use the 5 BNC inputs for your computer output.

you definitely need a proper 'remote' box with the brightness, etc controls on it. if it's not correct, you'll get nothing out of the projector. I've got 1 here that's original that you can have for the cost of shipping if you want it.

Thanks, I got the remote-box last week.
Unfortunately, when i get a green light on the focus board (good input signal) both red H&V Led's light up, so i guess these cards are shot.

Also started without the convergence-board, still nothing.

Well, i guess that wraps it up

Not necessarily. The problem is, you're dealing with a 30ish year old set, and now you'd have to get in with an oscilloscope and meter to find out where the problem is.

hmm.. do you think something actually gets in because of the green LED of the focus board?
I am still not sure about feeding VGA into the RGB-TTL port of the projector..
but it was my best shot, as my laptop recognized a "monitor".

Still, i'm not sure if an actual signal gets there, as of all the micro-switches for positive/negative logic on the RGB-TTL-board.

However, i guess i could take out the H/V cards and start there

haha, i guess i'll look for a pdf on troubleshooting CRT's to stand a chance probing around elsewhere (with a borrowed analog osci)

No, you can't feed RGB into the TTL input, it has to feed into the RGB BNC input. that might be part of your issue.
