|
|
hi.
got my bastard running now but unfortunatly my colours and tones are quite wrong. i figured i might missunderstod the blacklevel manual for my nec 6pg plus which says : adjust the blacklevel while looking into the tube until the raster is barely visualable.. then do the same thing for the other tubes, as long as the are all set up the same way....more or less.
now, does it mean if i find my point on the green tube i have to set the values of the other tubes to the green value, OR do i have to find the same point for the other tubes , no matter at which value they are..
i did the second, speaking i made all the rasters the same way barely visualable (is this word right!) no careing for the values.
whats right please?
on the other hand, some tipps for better colours anyway?
thanks and
lg christoph

Did you adjust the settings in the menu, or did you touch any trimpots in the projector?

Dont buggerise around with any of those pots in your barstard or itll be hard to get them right again!!
Set the brightness to 50 and the contrast to 75, turn only the green on and set the KELVIN settings til black is black, repeat with red and blue, then set the white level with all three colours on.
Start from there.

öhh, yeah thanks! thats what i allready did. (god no, i didnt touch the trim pots)
but there lies the problem case - your formulation is just the way the manual is formulated, and according to it i cant figure out how to do it:
is it A. set all the tubes to the same level as the green tube kelvin black is black level
or B. set all the tubes to black is black, no matter if the values differ between each tubes???
its kind of lost in translation;))
thanks and
LG c

Hello
Try plan B; no two tubes are identical

Yep, the values can be totally different, its no big deal, they numbers are only there to indicate how much adjustment range you have
