So I am delivering a retubed Runco 1200 here locally to a good customer sometime in the next week once I finish it.

He is tentatively moving out of town, and will take the Runco with him, leaving the Runco 1100 that is up now in his current place.

He is however liquidating a bunch of his surplus old A/V equipment.. including 2 laserdisc players... and over 500 movies Shocked Shocked

Well, you know who stepped up to the plate.... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Don't ask me for a list, I haven't seen anything yet.

I just KNOW I won't be able to watch 500 movies in my lifetime. I'll see exactly what he has, and will post in the buy/sell section what I will get rid of.

Just wanted to see how many forum members still have players.

BTW, I know there were some movies that weren't put out on DVD.. wasn't a Pink Floyd concert one of those titles that was only on disc? Did it finally get put on BR or DVD, or are some things still only out on LD?

I would assume so. No idea what they are though. I find out either Friday or Monday, customer just emailed me saying he's looking forward to getting the set. Smile

On my third player. Would be interested in both a player upgrade and some more titles.

yeah, this past weekend i started to feel normal finally. carried a few boxes of decorations downstairs and had no increased pain afterwards. Today is the first day in about 6 weeks that i can honestly say i am mostly pain free. it's a good thing. On the downside, i've had all but two computers in the house need major work - that is finally coming to a close as well.

it's been busy....

List? LIST? Crap, people, it will take days and days.

So I have the stuff here. Yes, there's 500 pristine laser discs. I don't see any wear on the covers at all. None are in plastic sleeves, I see mainly all the popular movies from when LD was in the heyday, stuff like the Bodyguard and Titanica, etc. Lots of 80s and 90s movies, some older ones as well. A couple of box sets as well, not sure what they are, my buddy carried them in. My guess is, as with most LDs, is that each one has minimal plays on it. The Dr leads a busy life, so I'll bet most had one play. He's a decade older than I am, not sure that I'll find any hard rock/death metal LDs in there. Ha! No Judas Priest 'Unleashed in the East' ( I already have that one!)

Will start on the list tomorrow. Will start a different thread with the high end electronics I got in. That list is just as juicy! Very Happy

Let me list more, I'll try and do another 20-30 tonight...
