Yes, HDMI. It's typically only good for about 30 feet or so, so if you have a longer run, you'll want to look at HD Base T or Cat6 HDMI extenders.
Most people who have switched to digital just use a modern AV receiver for switching. For under $500, there are very good AV receivers now with half a dozen or more HDMI inputs, advanced audio codecs (DTS-MA Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD) for Blu-ray, internet radio, app control, and much more. If you watch for sales, or you don't mind buying refurb, you can find $750 MSRP receivers for about half that.
Are you think of going digital, Larry?

When my 1272 dies I'm seriously looking at a digital. If I knew how to set up & repair a crt, I'd stick with them. I've never seen a digital set up & running. Besides picture quality, Curious how cables run etc.
BenQ is selling W1070 refurb for around $500 Was thinking of trying it. Can't go wrong at that price.

Do you have a link because all I see is $799? If it is $500, then I will buy one.

They were on the BenQ Amazon page. Now they are out of stock.
