|
|
Has anyone seen this kind of issue before? I took a chance and picked up a JVC X30 on ebay for $500. The unit works perfectly, has good pixel convergence, and produces a nice image...Except for one problem.
There is a blue border that surrounds the image, some blue image retention where bright objects were, and a bluish cast visible on the left side of the image on all content.
I should also mention that this blue light raises the black level thus defeating the very strength of this high contrast machine!
Does the blue polarizer need replacing?
I know there are some JVC aficionados here as these are the only digitals that can match CRT's high on/off contrast. All observations and assistance is welcome!
I'm posting this here as well as avs for anyone that prefers one forum.
