I've come to this site three times today and was forced to login each time even though I mark the automatic login box. This has never been a problem before and I don't have this problem with other forums. Is there a reason for this?

That happens to me sometimes, too. I figure some user account database on the server gets whacked once in a while.

The other time it happens is if I'm logged on at work and come home for lunch, then it forces me to log on, but I can understand that one. But I realize that it is not your situation.

The problem may be client-side as opposed to server-side. The cookie on your local drive could be pooched so the saved login state can't be written and read back properly.

The first thing I'd try is deleting cookies so it can be recreated from scratch. Of course, that means you'll have to login to any other forums again and any other handy cookie states (you last browsed "xxx" on Amazon, etc.) will be gone until you login to those sites again.

I've never had a problem on any browser or platform, but I don't use IE - ever.

What browser are you using, Moose?

No idea Moose. Never had the problem myself.

Note that if you go to curtpalme.com/forum vs. www.curtpalme.com/forum, it uses different cookies (since the domain is different) so you may get asked to log in again if cookies aren't already set for one of the two.

I have to log in often as well. Not every time, maybe 3 times a week.
