Hi all,

i use a MX-810 remote. This remote sends the signals to the MRF-350RF reciever which converts the RF to IR.

Normaly i use the IR diodes and glue them to the IR input of the devices (Amp, Blu-ray, ..... ).

Now i see that the Barco 808s has a 3.5mm Socket on the front that can be used for remote Input.

Can i directly connect the MRF-350 RF to the 808?

Here is the manual of the MRF-350 RF:

I dont now, maybe this thread should be moved to CRT forums.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards
Chris

Hi,

I don't think it will work and You may damage the MRF-350 RF by connecting it to the BG808s.
The MRF-350 RF uses a 5V signal (pulses) and uses two wires for the IR flashers. The Barco has +9V at his Remote connector (supply for the remote) and uses three wires. Even if You cut the +9V away it could be that the MRF-350 RF signal is either too weak and/or inversed polarity...

Hi barclay,

thanks for your answer.

I didn't know that the remote input also provides the 9V. Ok, than i will glue the IR diode on the IR input, better not risk that something get's defective.

Danke!

Chris
