New Radiance 2021 features 4x HDMI inputs and 2x HDMI outputs and 1x coax audio output. No analog inputs or outputs. Same video processing quality as XE, XS, and Mini, but with the Darbee built into the inputs of the VP. This way you can adjust the Darbee for each input as with all other adjustments on the Lumagen lines.
The processor has a very similar form factor to the XS, but without any analog connections at all.

This product is named the Radiance 2021™, and first ship date is expected to be 3/12/2013. The Radiance 2021 has four HDMI inputs, two HDMI outputs, and a COAX audio output in a 2” (1.75” without feet) by 17” rack mountable (with optional rack ears) case. It uses an external 12 VDC power supply (same as XE), and has one RS232 control/update port and a wired IR input port. Its video feature set matches the XS, with the addition of DVP technology.
The Radiance 2021 retails for $2795 in the USA. Please note that we have a limited number of units to sell from the first batch. Additional units should be available mid-April.
If you have any questions on DVP please Google DarbeeVision. In case you are not aware, DVP is an image enhancement technology that can create the illusion of more depth in the image. It is getting good press, and we felt it would be a valuable addition to the Radiance product. Note that only new products will have DVP since it does not fit in the FPGA used for the current Mini/XS/XD/XE products. |

It can't be done on the XS, XD, or XE. The 2021 is on a new platform, though there are no immediate plans for blending or having different calibrations on each output.

It be nice for them to Add soft edge blending to at least the pro unit with individual CMS for the outputs as well.
I have tried to see if they could at least ad a Shut off for CMS on the second output of the XS so I could daisiy chain them together.
This way one XS would be the main switcher and the second would be only using one Input from the second output of the main XS and would add the CMS etc to the untouched second output from main unit.
Understand?
Id be happy with that for now.

I'm not sure if that is possible or not, but I understand what you are saying. Right now if you turn off video on one of the HDMI outputs you get a white screen at 1080i. I don't know if they can provide a second uncalibrated output.

Also in speaking with Jim, there will be no PLUS option on the 2021. So if you want PLUS in the 2021 form factor, for now you have to go with the XS.

Jim told me 4 hours ago that they are "Undecided as of yet. I think this is certainly doable if there is interest.". So never say never.
I did confirm that there's no plans for the dual SD-SDI or the dual 3G-SDI inputs on the Radiance 2021 as there's been very little interest in these features.

I mentioned this before on one of the forums where Jim and or Gordon frequent and they said it is doable and will look into adding an on off CMS toggle for a specific output while allowing the other to be altered.
They may have forgot about it.
