Just curious as to why you guys mostly post more over at avs than here?
Even Curt seems to post more there than here at the place he founded and is paying for???
I'd expect that you would want to coax teh true CRT lovers here more by avoiding that place? seems counter productive.
It seems to me that many are double posting. Here being secondary. Am i wrong?
Just curious?

For Curt it is a wise business decision. For others, not sure. I post there to answer questions, but I rarely start threads there. I always check here first.
There still seems to be a ton of people that post on AVS that have no idea this place exists.

there's just more traffic there. If I post a question at AVS, its usually answered within the hour.

I read both, but post mostly here. I do post occasionally in the CRT forum and a little more in the builder's area in the other forum because I'm building my theater right now, but this is a way cooler place to hang out. The other place feels like the shool cafeteria at lunchtime with teachers within earshot, while this place feels like the pub on Friday night.

I frequent both forums because, frankly, I have too much time on my hands at a computer. 8)
I prefer posting here. Kyser-whatever is ruled by his ego and gestapo like in his presence; the owners, while I am sure they mean well, could be characterized as a tad anal retentive.
I cannot ,however, surf here on the big screen when my family is around -for obvious reasons

We should get them over here then and away from the Gestapo. Bring up traffic and make CRT forum on AV$ obsolete.

I read over there and usualy only post off topic. It's what I do best.
I only go over there when I have read every post here though.
At 3 am when everyone else is sleeping, I'll head over there just for something to read before bed. There are some great home theater building threads that can keep me reading for hours.

But Curt, How many are actual frequenters of the CRT forum. many are the sort that just like to stir up sh*t. all that are serious about CRT, should be here.

There: Low signal to noise ratio.
Here: ...OK, still low signal to noise ratio, but a LOT more fun and laid back.

There the head master is watching like you're in class
Here your at the cottage, people drop in. Their jaws hit the floor. Then the inevitable p0rn shows up and the booze and beer.
In between all that our machines get tweaked, fixed, aligned, focus, hooked up, setup and most off all enjoyed without the head master looking over your shoulder.
We talk like normal people and have conversations that go any which way.
Feels like home.
