I have 3 NEC 6PG XTRAs / Runco 933 projectors. 1 is working and it works NICE!!! 1 is not working, has tubes but no lens. 1 is case and boards, no tubes, no lens.
2 of the cases are the black Runco 933 style; 1 is the NEC gray style.
The tubes in the working projector would rate 5-6 on Curt's scale. The tubes in the non-working projector are about the same, but it has been so long since I had that projector running, I cannot say anything else about them.
The working projector has been calibrated by Ken Whitcomb over the years since Cliff so kindly gave it to me. It has the HD-145 color corrected lens. It is a very, very nice picture!!! You will just need to keep your display within the existing wear pattern.
I cannot show them off as I sold my Moome external box.
Ok, so here is the catch: If someone wants these, they have to take all 3, plus a box full of spare boards.
And, most importantly, donate $20.00 to the forum web site, send a thanks to Clarence for getting me into this addiction, send a thanks to Cliff for giving me an excellent working projector, and a thanks to Ken for selling me one of his 6PG Xtras and calibrating it.
Also, I think I still have the original factory ceiling mount.
Please pm me if you are really seriously interested.
Trust me, I would really hate to throw these out in the trash. But, I need to clear some stuff out of the house; NOW!!!!

Wallace, if you don't get any takers here in the next few weeks, put it on Craigslist for free... Even if you have to give away the working one and recycle the rest. Interest in CRT is really waning at this point, so best to move it to somebody who's interested now - and somebody will be.

Hey wow - I am seriously interested. I had been looking for an extra ECP on here/elsewhere for the last year to setup with a friend so we'd both have machines, ideally the same machines to ease sharing parts, knowledge, etc. AND while I did just score an ECP and also brand-new tubes are on the way, your machines would let me pair the ECP machines for one of us and the NECs for the other. Let me confirm he's still interested and we'll come and get'em -- from pittsburgh, the drive wouldn't be bad at all. I'd be inclined to keep the ECPs for me given new tubes, I'm setup for them, etc., but maybe not.
Also, I'd be interested in the tinted 144s you have posted as possible upgrades to the hd6c/hd6d clear tubes I have...(when I re-tube the ECP, I plan to swap out the tinted glycol.) I have to read-up on 144 lenses vs 145 lenses, tho'.
Your conditions are more than fair!
Can tubes for these machines be found and at what cost?
I'll PM you in coming 36hours as am traveling and will be crazy busy first bit of when I arrive home this weekend.

Hey all -
Got to meet wallace (don) yesterday and filled the van with PJs. We had a nice time chatting and he was good enough to show of the G90 for my wife, kids, and I. 3D monsters vs aliens was awesome -- I had no idea 3D looked that good and worked so well. CraigR's 3D setup for Wallace looked fantastic. Don was apologetic that it needed some fine tuning that wouldn't happen until around thanksgiving. This was an unnecessary apology, it looked great -- I suppose it is good to know we all are a nutty in continually wanting our machines to be the best they can. One thing that REALLY struck me was the warmth and enveloping fullness of his sound...he has acoustically prepped walls, etc. and had done the 9-point audessey sound setup - wow, just wow. My sound is so cold and open that I spent a good part of the drive home thinking about practical ways to improve my setup! Gee thanks!
In addition, he shared his BBQ trailer with me for a while -- folks, I can't begin to describe the glory of that machine. It was great to see a kindred spirit enjoying his passions...this forum really enriches lives.
I should add this was my first time ever seeing a CRT other than my 7"ES that was properly setup. HOLY CRAP -- he put up a grid pattern and it was redonkulous. The lines that G90 makes aren't just crazy small, they are TIGHT...there is almost no change in intensity as one moves from the center of the line out and then, BAM, blackness. My ECPs lines are big ole' fat, dumpy and round ones. Point being, I SAW why folks tell me to go just go 8"LC and move on. Unlikely to happen though - I'm learning the ECP and am pretty happy nonetheless. I WILL get more serious now about a soft-blend setup, however...after the wife finds work again and we have re-built our savings some.
OK, I hope to drop off the machines tomorrow morning at my buddy's house. He will be out of town and I'm hoping to quickly do a floor-setup of the working machine (crudely) before he returns. I don't have a moome box/HDF for him, but do have an old NEC multisync doubler that should mate well to these NEC machines -- in fact, sorta' wondering if it can rs-232 control of them, in fact. Thanks gotta go to cliff and clarence and some $ to curt in the days to come!

Great meeting you and your family!! Hope you guys enjoyed the g90 and 3d demo. If you think my sound system is good, Cliff's will blow your mind!!!! Craig has done a great job getting these projectors to work the 3d stuff! It is cool to watch. I just wish I had some air conditioning in the room, and was able to make the room pitch black any time of the day.
Either way, we love this room!!
Again, many thanks to Cliff, Clarence, Craig and Ken for getting our HT to whee it's today.
I hope your friend enjoys the runco/6pg xtra pjs. The working pj will rock your world! Again, it was last calibrated by Ken and he is the master for those pjs.

Yep, glasses and all -- really nice. Don is no Grey Poupon, fancy pants guy. He's just an average joe who saves, invests in his passions, and shares his blessings. In fact, within 30sec my 10yr old daughter commented on how his floor had an old CRT/parts on it just like ours! Of course, at least HE was getting rid of stuff!

Well, it took 11 months, but Don's former PJ is now properly hanging once more! My buddy is going to get it roughly dialed in and then he and I will spend an afternoon getting it good-enough. It nests behind a ductwork cover so it is only partly visible from 1/2 the room. The room is very light (white-ish ceiling and floor tiles, plus light wood walls), so less than ideal, but not much will be done about that. We can blacken the area around where the screen will be. We need to do a simple DIY screen, maybe a sheet of wood with some behr ultra pure white, etc.

You know, until recently, I had no idea what wilsonart was until my dad gave me a bunch of it in brand new boxes. He gets it from his work and knew I might be interested in it since it was white.
