|
|
I am going to (with some luck) hang my G90 this weekend. I am using the factory bracket attached to unistrut, it should work out well and help to keep the pj from being any lower than absolutely necessary. I would like to be able to use the slots that are available on the mount to turn the pj slightly to adjust for squareness to the screen but I can see no possible way to do so. A friend of mine is a mechanical engineer and is coming over later to offer his expertise, I thought I would check with you guys. Thanks in advance.
Jeff

Well we see no reasonable way to accomplish this.

Should be easy. I'll try and find some pic of my setup if I can get closeups of the strut.
Do you have any pictures of what you are trying to do?

Don't Know if this helps.
Here is my recessed tray. The 4 bolts slide up and down the unistrut. The bolts are slightly smaller than the mount holes. That allows some left/right twist.
I have a knock-off factory mount. Hard too see here but it works fine.

Another variation of the Uni-strut
As you can see the Eye-Bolts can be any length, for instance 4" on the Uni-strut side and 4" on the machine side, giving you about 7" of adjustment up and down. The sliding nature of the Uni-strut gives you forward and aft movement and some minor left to right Yaw. There is no reason you can't make this work, using the uni-strut and a factory mount.

Sounds like a home away from home. Just the place to settle down and watch a movie or two.

I used the basic unistrut method and mounted the factory bracket to it. I used short bolts and keep the unistrut pretty close. It will move front to back, side to side and the bracket gives me up and down and a little movement to keep it square to the screen. It hangs a few inches lower than the G70 but you can still see the whole screen from the back row so not really a problem. My friend tom built an ingenious hoist using a boat winch that worked perfectly. All in All very happy. Tonight I will plug it in, Gotta find my manual to figure out how to change it to the ceiling setting. It is set on FLOOR right now, not sure why it is obvious it was ceiling mounted. Maybe they changed it to look at menus or something after they took it down.

I cant seem to get the image from being upside down. The small dipswitch ( v switch )moves fine and is in the correct position for ceiling monted front PJ. The swith that moves left to right ( h switch ) doesnt seem to move. If it is moving a switch under there I cant tell it. It only moves about 1/32 of an inch and doesnt seem to trip anything. Also what is "C"
The image is right side up but the letters are backward. I cant seem to change the H SWITCH.
Is there any other changes that need to be made besides those two switches ?
