My daily driver isn't keeping focus and is losing a large degree of convergence after being powered down. I think Craig jinxed it because I swear it was working just fine until he started dissing the Marquee. The strange thing is, it seems to be keeping geometry, and it's keeping the EM focus values for top/bottom/right/left for all colors. It's just not keeping the center focus values. Something around a value of 70 or so is getting sharp center focus, but after the set is power cycled, it's back to something like 30 for all three colors.

Anyone ever seen this? What are the suspect boards? Does this reside in the FGM?

Thanks,

Steve

Do an initialization and set up everything again.

see if that helps first.

Oh, and Check the battery voltage it should be close to 3 volts, below 2.5 i would change it.

Sorry.

But really I wasn't trying to diss Marquee... just trying to explain the benefits and weaknesses of each projector type from my experience.

Reset the board to "0 days since last accident" and see how long she goes after this repair Wink Good thing is that you'll probably get it figured out quickly because that is a strength of Marquee.

I was being facetious. I've had my share of minor issues with both my ultras. While they work well almost all the time, they do experience occasional faults. It would be nice if they were even better (I suspect some just are), because after they work well for a long time it's a real inconvenience when something goes south.

Clean all module contacts with Caig, but you could have HV shifting within the HVPS. That could explain both the focusing and the convergence shift.
