I switched and then switched back again. I started with DLP (Sim2 C3X), switched to CRT with Barco Cine9, then to stacked Cine9's. I did not like CRT at all. Not bright enough, not sharp enough, way too much trouble to get grayscale and gamma really right. Too heavy, too restrictive in placement, too......well everything. The only thing it had going for it was black level. Not enough for me. I switched back to DLP. First to a Sim2 MICO50 and now to a Sim2 HT5000E. I love the HT5000E. Sure, the black level is relatively higher than CRT, but everything else favors the HT5000E in spades. And, my HT5000E cost me less than the Cine9's.
