At least 800 lbs worth, including a stripped G90 chassis and a DWIN 700 parted out today.
The magic number when doing this is 5. I had 5 more times than what I thought I had. I thought I'd sold all my ACON cameras. I had 5. Thought I was out of ECP HVPS. I had 5 each of Spellman and Keltron. 5 of the ECP custom built orbiter boxes. Yada Yada.
It did bring back a lot of memories as I was throwing out stuff. ECP focus board resistor mods, Sony 12XX cracked boards....
I can now move in my basement, and I haven't even started yet. Scrapped 3 8500 lens foams that the cats had 'kneaded' to death. The rest are up on a shelf now. Now that I have a shelf available, that is.
BAd thing is, no one else can come downstairs and see the progress I've made. Sad, really.
And irony of irony... I no sooner put outside all my Sony 10XX series parts, but do I not 1/2 hour later get an email via ebay asking for 1031 parts? Eff me!

What are these orbiter boxes? (raises eyebrow )
See you should have kept 2 or 3 10xx series parts.

The guy emailed me back, I've offered him a box of boards for the cost of shipping. Worst case, I still have 3 working 1031s here.
An orbiting box shifted the raster to prevent tube burn on static images. Some aftermarket company built them, and stuffed the plastic box between the blue tube and the outside of the case. I had more of those boxes, but was smart enough to throw most of them away. Again, 11 years ago, I was selling a crapload of ECPs, but took out those boxes on each one I sold.

How do they connect? In line inside the case with the RGB wires?

No, there was a wiring harness going to several boards in the card cage. I think it applied a DC bias that shifted slightly to the H and V output section.

So what went by the wayside was:
-all Zenith 851 and older parts. I had some NOS Zenith PV 800 convergence controls, still in the bag, circa 1985, and some even older Zenith TV parts new in the bag as well. All toast.
-all Sony 10XX parts.
-all ECP 3000 and 4000 boards save for the HVPS and LVPS. Threw out the worst looking of the ECP LVPS
-almost all Ampro 2000 stuff save for LVPS and HVPS. Saved a few dead CPU boards. Why? So I can throw them out in 3 years.
-cut my Zenith PRO 900 parts in half.
-found *5* PRO 900 setup remotes. I swore I was out.
-Misc useless audio stuff. Got piles more of that as well, but will eBay it, as I think things like a blowed up real good Yamaha power amp will actually go for $100.
That's round 1. at least 5 more rounds to go, including tubes and lenses

No, those are all old 8000 heat sinks. All that stuff is being picked up by a metal recycler. It would take 10 trips to the recycler and the whole day wasted to get $200 or so. I'll pass, thanks! The metal guy gives me nothing, but he's a good guy.

Guys
While Curt pretended to visit customers last week he was actually at the Henry Kloss Center, getting a quick rehab for video junk collectors...............
First, you have to admit you have a problem!

Curt, you really do have a problem
Your rule should be that if you can't make any real money off it, you should trash it. That's how my place doesn't get overwhelmed! Granted I don't sell parts or projectors really
